Enhancing the surface finish and aesthetic appearance of an aluminum part is achieved through a secondary operation.  Some of the more common types  of finishes are buffing, brushing or sanding. 

These types of finish bring value to the part for the cosmetic look of the part.  These finishes also eliminate surface imperfections that would stand out if not mechanically removed.
