Bowers Aluminum has one of the largest Bright Dip tanks in the country, capable of running parts 30″W x 84″D x 180″L. The type of aluminum alloy and the hardness of the material are very important characteristics when Bright Dip anodizing. The surface of the material also plays a big part in the outcome (appearance) of the material. Bright Dip anodizing is a chemical pre-treatment process done prior to anodizing. It enhances the glossy (reflective) appearance of the aluminum and is usually chosen for cosmetic applications. Its glossy appearance can be further improved by mechanically finishing (buffing) the part prior to running the part through the anodizing process.
